The New eClinicalWorks Script Standard
Starting September 1st, 2021, any patient or provider that has missing demographic elements will not be able to e-prescribe the medications.
This form is in regards to the email that was sent to your practice alerting you of the new update to eClinicalWorks' Script Standard.
What to Know About the New eClinicalWorks Script Standard:
Gain Control
- In order to prevent any e-prescribing frustrations, or any errors at the moment you try to indicate the patient or provider has missing demographics, or experience frustrations when trying to load eBO reports, please make sure to follow the new Script Standard update process. Doing this should ensure the ability to run validation reports and fix the demographics, or send a medication like normal.
NEW SCRIPT STANDARD and ePRESCRIBING AFTER SEPTEMBER 1st, 2021:
- eClinicalWorks has updated the software to meet the new Script Standard requirements. One of those changes that could impact prescribing is the demographic information for the patient and/or provider are not completed appropriately. The eBO Script Standard Validation Report provides you with a list of patients, providers, facilities, resources, etc that have not had the demographic information completed. The missing demographic information could prevent providers from e-prescribing medications effective September 1st, 2021.
What Should You Do?
- Ensure you have the most recent eBO Report File available that includes the Patient Advisory Report. Run the Script Standard Validation report. Determine the demographic updates that must be completed. Update the demographics prior to September 1st, 2021 to prevent a disruption in e-prescribing.
Please fill out this form if you have any questions. We understand this is inconvenient for your practice, but we will do anything we can to ensure an easy transition and prevent as much disruption as possible.
